I started this sweater at the beach and I hope to finish it soon so I can start working on my brother's new baby girl's sweater. So much to knit and so little time and energy these days to make things. Work is about to get really busy in another week. I hope to be able to be around for at least 6 weeks before the baby comes. We can't wait to hold this new little guy. We are still trying to have the best summer ever yet. We went to Sesame Place this past weekend with some friends of ours and my boys had a great time. I mostly wait on the side between eachof the ride. It was too hot for me to wait in line so I mostly sat on the side but it was super fun to watch them have so much fun. It was also little boy's first time taking a real train and not a subway. I'm off to watch the Democratic Convention. Will post more progress of the sweater later.

Hello, we are back from Nags Head, NC. I love the beach!!!!!

I could have use another week sitting by the beach and dozing off to a restful nap. I didn't boogie board, jet ski, swim or anything fancy this time. I just cooked ate, sat, walk slowly and knit! I am working on a new sweater for our new baby. I will post pictures of that project some time soon. It was good times all around. We went crabbing...no worries, we let those crabs go at the end. They weren't big enough for us to eat them without guilt. All of us cooked a great deal and only ate out once and a take out twice during the whole week. I got to watch a lot of the Olympics and rest a great deal. Little boy tried, Go Cart and jet skiing. I didn't participate in either one this time. Sad sad sad...I am definitely slowing down a great deal and I pretty much expire at 2p.m. these days and start walking like a pingouin. I don't even try anymore.
Here are a few pictures I'd like to share.

At 31 weeks. This is what I really look like!

I finished knitting baby #2 sweater. Oh yes, it's done for now until I put on some flare and some snap buttons. Now the boys can have matching color sweater. I made the bigger one for little boy#1 last fall and purposely made it a little bigger so he can wear it for 2 years. They are going to look so cute together. We are off on our summer vacation...see you next week.

Staycation in New York City...

We spend sometime about two weeks ago enjoying our city. I remember spending a lot more time exploring New York city as a kid and teenager. These days, if we don't have to go into the Manhattan for work, we just stay in Queens and staying very local. We took little boy on his very first boat ride. What better way to do that than taking the Staten Island Ferry. It's absolutely free. They actually sell beer, hot dogs and pop corn on the boat. $3 Heniken. You just can't beat that deal. We rode the ferry to Staten Island and back and spend a few hours at the South Street Seaport for lunch. It was low key and fun. We did do a lot of walking from the ferry to the South Street Seaport.

Check out this water fall by artist Olafur Eliasson, consists of four monumental, man-made waterfalls. The waterfalls are based in and built from the rivers of New York’s at four sites along the shores of Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Governors Island. This is one of the sites.
You got to love New York City!
