My baby is Colicky. Oh yes, it's been 4 weeks since my baby's born and I still have not slept for 3 hour straight. It's just not happening. Little baby wakes up every 45min to an hour with stomach pain. He doesn't cry really, he just makes squeaky uncomfortable noise. So I am cutting out dairy and brocolli and all gassy food starting today.

These days....

So it's been almost a month since my little baby's been born. I've been home doing very little. I just keep trying to catch cat naps when he naps. I did a little bit of work from home cuz I left work so suddenly. I thought I would have been a lot more active and creative but I'm not putting any pressure on myself. The house remains a mess and my expectation is remaing low on myself and I give myself permission for that. I'm just going to relax and enjoy this time with my baby and big boy. I have 8 to 10 more weeks home with my boys.

I try to take a few pictures of my new addition everyday. Here is one.

It's been two and a half weeks since my little baby came out to meet the world. Baby is growing and we are all happy and still head over hills with our little guy but I tell you what my friends, I haven't slept for more than 3 hours at a time and no more than 3 to 4 hours a day since my water broke 17 days ago and if I get 4 hours for of sleep a day, that's a good day. My baby thinks night is day and day is night. Do I blame him for not knowing? No, I don't but I have to start showing him the difference between night and day. So this little guy sleeps like a rock during the day and at night, he would want to latch on and nurse all night. I can't even hold him and nurse him laying down, he wants to be held, nursed sitting up and he wants to nursed back and forth all night and no breaks. I only had at most 3 of these nights with my little boy #1 but this little guy here has been doing that for over a week. Since the four of us and the dog live in a one bedroom apartment, there is no reason why all of us have to suffer and become sleepless zombies, so I take the baby and sleep in the living room but I might try something new tonight. I think I am going to give him a bath, then teach him to fall asleep in his bassinet. My hubby might have to move into the living room.

I am so glad I don't have postpartum depression this time around. I am staying pretty happy and positive and eating Chinese drunken chicken my aunt cooks and lots of chocolate cookies to stay happy.

Today was a little bit rough. Little boy #1 woke up with an ear ach and wanted to go see the doctor. This is like the very first time he's ever done that and sure enough, he has reddness and fluid in his ear. He was right, he has his first ear infection. All is good, we took a subway for an hour into the city to see the doctor, play on the playground and got ourselves a really good orange, banana and strawberry smoothie. It was rather nice to be out and about.

Here are a couple of pictures I took during the past two weeks. I really thought I would have been sleeping a lot more and have a lot more creative energy going into my 3rd week at home with the new baby but it has not been the case and I'm trying to lower my expectations to just to try to get sleep and be happy.

Our New Baby is here!

He was born 18 days before his due date. He is a little guy, only 6lbs and 4oz when he arrived a week ago but he is such a good nurser that he's going to catch up in no time. 5 1/2 years after the first baby, I didn't forget how tough lack of sleep is. Oh, how I long for more sleep and it's only been a week!!!!
