Christmas 2009

I survived Christmas. Have I ever mention that Christmas is not my favorite holiday? I didn't grow up celebrating it and I had a few sad sad ones. But that's all behind me and I'm getting better with Christmas every year since Tai's been born. My husband makes sure he makes Christmas special for me.

Our Christmas started at home on the night before Christmas eve. Santa Claus knows we travel to Baltimore at 7a.m. on Christmas morning so the nice old man stops by our house a day early every year.

Got the tree up

Open presents

We spent 4 days at the hotel visiting with my husband's family.

Seeing grandma. Miles is grandma's eating buddy. They even look like one another.

having light sabor fights

Watching football...the Ravens lose and there were 3 angry fans. Guess who the 3 angry fans were.

And I'm so very glad to be home finally, took down the tree and ready to welcome a new year to come. Did I mention, Tai's sweater didn't get finished on time. Sign...

Oh yes! I love this snow for about two days max. Then I want it all to get out of my way. It really is beautiful though. I did a lot of shoveling last night but there's a whole lot more to do today. We are staying in today to eat quiche and cookies and left over chicken.

Must finish Tai's sweater. 1 and 3/4 sleeves to go. I can do it! I can!

2009, I am in 2009, not 2008 or 2010.

My cousin Jenny pointed out that this year is 2009, not 2010. I am that out of it!

2008 has been kicking our asses good! It also has been an incredibly fruitful one. It's been extremely challenging in many aspects but the good is so good. I'm so thankful for my new baby Miles. He's been such a joy even though he's a very light sleeper. How could I not give up sleep for this precious little one but at 3a.m. I do question my sanity. I am thankful for Tai's new school! I LOVE SB! Every time I hear him talk about his school and the thing's he's doing at school, the goosebumps on my arms would come up and I feel so lucky that we moved out of Queens.

So much is going on and life just keep filing up around here. There is so little time in a day so I'm making the most of it.

We are praying for a very dear love one's health and thinking about her through out our days.

We spent Thanksgiving in Baltimore with family. I only took a few pictures while we were down there. This is my favorite one.

Grandma fixing up Tai's big hair.

Still working on Tai's green sweater on the train everyday.

Baking pumpkin bread with chocolate chips to fill my lonely heart.

Sharpening up my color pencils for some drawings to come. Happy weekend!
